Worked in Health and then Supply where I received ab Australia day medallion for my work in IT. Changed to Navy and Defence from where I Retired in 2001. Running Pure Indulgence B&B with my wife Cecilia at Scotts Head on the Mid North Coast and have my own radio show on community radio. Have been on the Board of BBFNSW-ACT since 2004 and am currently the Chair as well as creating and issuing the Bedhead and Bedheadsup magazine for members, initially in hard copy and since 2004 as an electronic magazine in Adobe format issued via EMail. Also heavily involved in the rehash of the Operating Guidelines and currently the Web Facilitator.
Retired CEO of multi national engineering company,seachange with wife to mid north coast and built B&B opened in July 2004 as a lifestyle business. Actively involved in Tourism Associations in Nambucca & Kempsey. Continue involement with past Industry as Secretary of Industry Association.
Board member September 2000 to October 2006 and from April 2008. With my partner Sherry, I have operated a B&B/Farmstay and two self-contained farmstay cottages since January 2000 combined with a small business selling alpaca products. This followed a career involving retail pharmacy, senior administrative positions in the tertiary sector and the legal profession and 15 years as a management consultant to leading companies throughout Australia. I have qualifications in pharamcy (Sydney) and in politics and economics (BScEcon LSE London) and public administration (MSc LSE London); published author with a book on Leadership and numerous articles in professional and general journals over many years.
A lifetime in the graphic arts industry (owned printing company). Developed the Holiday Accommodation Guide concept for individual Real Estate Agents in the 1970's (the "Egg Book" follows many of the principles I developed).
Never one to tread the well worn path, and after some years of a sea change FROM Taree TO Sydney, my lovely new wife, Christine, & I developed the concept which is now Artisans Retreat - still in a constant state of evolution!
