Description
Home made dried Apricot Jam
Ingredients
- 500 g dried apricots
- 1 l water
- 1 1⁄2 kg sugar
- 1 1⁄2 T lemon juice
Instructions
Warm Jars First; Place into Oven
Soak Apricots in water preferably hot
when swollen, drain water
to Apricots, add Sugar and Lemon Juice into saucepan
boil for 20 mins
pour into jars
use cellophane, wet with cold water place on top of jars
Notes
I didn't realise until I revisited this just how much Sugar was included. The recipe goes back even to my Grandmother and beyond and they didn't seem to worry about it in those days.
