Description

Baked Apples with Fruit and Nuts

Ingredients

  • 4 apples, large red
  • 4 T yoghurt, low fat
  • 25 g spread, heart recommended
  • 4 cinnamon sticks, small
  • 40 g nuts, pistachio or almond or walnut
  • 1 orange, large, juiced
  • 3 T brown sugar
  • 100 g raisins or sultanas
  • 100 ml grappa or brandy

Instructions

Preheat oven to 170 degrees Celcius. Core Apples and place in oven proof dish.

Divide spread into 4 and stuff in middle of apple, then push in cinnamon stick.

Scatter with nuts and fruit.

Pour Grappa or Brandy and Orange Juice over apples and bake in Oven for 20-30 mins. Remove from

Oven and baste with Juices.

Test Fruit with a skewer to see if cooked. Serve warm with low fat Yoghurt.

Notes

Something that tastes good and not too bad for the old Ticker.
