This is an important site for all existing B&B and Farmstay operators and for those considering starting a B&B or Farmstay in New South Wales . To find out what your obligations are in the provision of food to your guests, select the 'For Industry' tab, select 'Industry Sector requirements', then click on the link 'Home Based and mixed businesses'.
At the very least, you will need to 'notify' your business to NSW Food Authority. It is free to notify and you can find more details here: http://www.foodnotify.nsw.gov.au.
Another important feature of the NSW Food Authority website is the information it provides on the New Food Laws now being administered by local councils.
